Welcome to ArceMAX
ArceMAX is a documentation and exploration project in electronics. Its starting point is vintage electronics, and from there it works its way towards the technology of today.
The approach is deliberate: in older instruments every stage can still be seen and traced on the schematic, which makes the underlying principles easy to understand. With those foundations in place, modern electronics becomes far easier to follow.
Purpose
This site documents a wide range of electronic devices: their history, specifications and original documentation and, where a unit has been serviced, a detailed repair log. The aim is to preserve vintage electronics and to keep learning from it.
