PD-02

The PD-02 is the stereo record deck of the Disco 2202 stereo music system, made by Tehnoton in Iași [1].

The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) describes the „PD-02” („Picup deck stereo”, stereo record deck) as part of the 2202 „DISCO” stereo music system of Întreprinderea Tehnoton, Iași, among the mono and stereo (hi-fi) audio equipment made in Romania [1]. It gives nominal platter speeds of 33.33 and 45.11 rpm (as printed; belt drive), a speed deviation of at most ±2.2 % and a fluctuation of at most ±0.28 %, a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 35 dB and a signal-to-rumble ratio of at least 34 dB, a cartridge sensitivity of at least 90 mV/cm·s⁻¹ per channel and a cartridge response of 50–16,000 Hz, a 220 V, 50 Hz supply, at most 20 VA, 15 × 44 × 31 cm (height × width × depth), at most 5 kg and a Uf-50 stereo piezoelectric cartridge [1].
