Description
The DZ2V7…DZ51 is a series of 0.4 W Zener diodes made in Romania by IPRS Băneasa, listed in the Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) with nominal Zener voltages of 2.7–51 V and a power dissipation of 0.4 W, in a DO-35 (F-80) glass package [1]. Its codes are in the Variants table; the package drawing is in the Gallery.
The table gives the Zener voltage VZT (minimum, nominal, maximum), the differential resistance rZ and the temperature coefficient αVZT, both at IZT = 5 mA; the rZ values are printed with „<” (maximum values) [1].
For the DZ 5V1 the 2nd edition prints a maximum VZT of 5,1 V, the same as the nominal voltage; the value given here, 5.4 V, is the one printed in the 1st edition of the Agenda (1983) [1][2].
The 1st edition (1983) also lists a DZ 1 (VZ 0.7 / 0.75 / 0.8 V, rZ 8 Ω), which the 2nd edition no longer has; it is in the Variants table [2]. Its temperature coefficient is printed „−2?…0”, with the second digit unclear in the scan (6 or 8), so it is left out [2].
The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) lists the DZ2V7…DZ51 (32 codes) among the „0.5 W @ TA = 25 °C voltage regulator diodes” of its „Zener” section [3]. The catalog values this page did not have (IZM, TJM) are under Variants [3]. In this table VZ (min–max) and rZT (max) are given at IZT, and the temperature coefficient in units of 0.0001 1/°C; Ptot = 0.5 W at TA = 25 °C, TJM 175 °C, DO-35 case [3]. For all the codes of this table the catalog gives Ptot 0.5 W (elsewhere on this page: 0.4 W) [3]. For the DZ2V7 the catalog gives temperature coefficient −9…−4 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: −9…+4 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ6V8 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 2…7 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: 0…+7 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ7V5 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 3…7 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: 0…+7 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ8V2 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 4…7 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: 0…+7 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ9V1 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 5…8 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: 0…+8 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ10 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 5…8 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: 0…+9 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ11 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 5…9 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: 0…+9 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ12 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 6…9 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: +5…+9 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ13 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 7…9 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: +6…+9 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3]. For the DZ16 the catalog gives temperature coefficient 8…9.5 ×10⁻⁴/°C (elsewhere on this page: +7…+9.5 ×10⁻⁴/°C) [3].
