Description

The β340D is a transistor array integrated circuit (four NPN transistors on a common substrate) made by IPRS Băneasa [1].

The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) lists the β340D and β342D, each made of four general purpose silicon NPN transistors on a common monolithic substrate, well suited to a wide variety of low power applications from DC to VHF; they may be used as discrete transistors in conventional circuits, but they also give the significant advantages of an integrated circuit: close electrical and thermal matching [1].

The catalog gives an operating temperature of −25…+70 °C (storage −25…+125 °C), breakdown voltages of at least 15 V collector-emitter (VCEO), 20 V collector-base (VCBO) and 30 V collector-substrate (VCSS), an hFE (transistor T1) of 56…140 for the β340Dc and β342Dc, 112…280 for the β340Dd and β342Dd and 224…560 for the β340De and β342De, an hFE matching of 0.8…1.25, a base-emitter voltage matching of at most 5 mV (β340D), a base current of at most 5 mA and a collector current of at most 10 mA [1]. Pins (TO-116, top view): 1 C1, 2 E1, 3 B1, 4 substrate, 5 B2, 6 E2, 7 C2, 8 C3, 9 E3, 10 B3, 11 substrate, 12 B4, 13 E4, 14 C4 [1].
