Description
The βM335 series are precision, calibrated integrated temperature sensors made by IPRS Băneasa [1].
The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) lists the βM135A, βM335A and βM335, marked as preliminary data, as precision, calibrated chips: working as a two-terminal zener diode, the βM335 has a breakdown voltage directly proportional to the absolute temperature of the junctions, with a coefficient of 10 mV/K; the devices work properly with injected currents of 0.5…5 mA, and the series has typically less than 1 K of nonlinearity over a 100 °C temperature range [1].
The catalog gives an operating temperature of −55…+125 °C (βM135A) and −10…+100 °C (βM335, βM335A), reverse and forward currents of at most 10 mA, an uncalibrated error (I = 1 mA) of at most ±1 °C (βM135A), ±3 °C (βM335A) and ±6 °C (βM335), and a typical nonlinearity (I = 1 mA, Tmin < Tamb < Tmax) of ±0.5 °C (βM135A) and ±1.5 °C (βM335, βM335A) [1]. Pins (TO-39, bottom view): 1 external adjustment, 2 anode (V+ or Vout), 3 cathode (electrically connected to the metal can) [1].
