Description
The βM336 is a precision 2.5 V shunt regulator (voltage reference) integrated circuit made by IPRS Băneasa [1].
The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) lists the βM136 and βM336, marked as preliminary data, as precision 2.5 V shunt regulator integrated circuits: these monolithic voltage references work as a low temperature coefficient 2.5 V zener diode with a dynamic impedance of 0.5 Ω [1].
The catalog gives an operating temperature of −55…+125 °C (βM136) and 0…+70 °C (βM336), reverse and forward currents of at most 10 mA, a reverse breakdown voltage (I = 1 mA) of 2.490 V ± 50 mV (βM136) and 2.490 V ± 100 mV (βM336), and a typical temperature stability, with Vout adjusted to 2.490 V, of 12 mV for the βM136 (−55 °C < Tamb < +125 °C) and 1.8 mV for the βM336 (0 °C < Tamb < +70 °C); it also mentions the easy external calibration, a ±1 % initial tolerance available, and the metal can [1]. Pins (TO-39, bottom view): 1 external adjustment, 2 anode (V+ or Vout), 3 cathode (electrically connected to the metal can) [1].
