Description
The βP14151 is a 3-state 8-to-1 multiplexer of the βP 14000 series of IPRS Băneasa, the input port of the programmable controllers built around the βP14500 1-bit controller [1].
The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) lists the βP14151 and βPC14151 as 3-state 8-to-1 multiplexers in an MP-117 package (16 pins: 1–4 I3…I0, 5 Q, 6 NC, 7 S, 8 GND, 9 A2, 10 A1, 11 A0, 12–15 I7…I4, 16 VCC) [1]. Unlike the other circuits of the series, made in IIL technology, the βP14151 is a TTL circuit; in a controller, one or more βP14151 connected in parallel on the 1-bit DATA line give the sequential access to the input data, by multiplexing [2]. By its function table (in the Gallery), with S = 0 the Q output takes the input selected by A2, A1, A0, and with S = 1 it is in the high-impedance state [1].
