Description
The βTDA2030 is a 14 W HI-FI audio power amplifier integrated circuit made by IPRS Băneasa [1].
The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) lists the βTDA2030, marked as preliminary data, as a monolithic integrated circuit in a Pentawatt package, meant as a low frequency class AB amplifier: it typically gives 14 W of output power (d = 0.5 %) at ±14 V and 4 Ω, and at 14 V the guaranteed output power is 12 W on 4 Ω and 8 W on 8 Ω [1]. The βTDA2030 gives a high output current and has very low harmonic and cross-over distortions; it has a short circuit protection that automatically limits the dissipated power so as to keep the working point of the output transistors within their safe operating area, and a conventional thermal shut-down [1].
The catalog gives an operating temperature of −25…+70 °C (storage −25…+125 °C), a supply voltage of at most ±18 V, a quiescent drain current of at most 40 mA, an input voltage of at most ±18 V, a differential input voltage of at most ±15 V, an output peak current (internally limited) of at most 3.5 A and a distortion of at most 0.5 % [1]. Pins (Pentawatt, front view): 1 non-inverting input, 2 inverting input, 3 V−, 4 output, 5 V+ [1].
