Description

The βU14202 is a dual analogue output interface integrated circuit for programmable controllers, made by IPRS Băneasa [1].

The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) lists the βU14202, marked as preliminary data, as a monolithic integrated circuit meant as the analogue output interface of programmable controllers (for example the βP 14000 series) [1]. It has two identical channels that can drive AC or DC loads, with commands memorised in a status latch, a short-circuit protection that resets the status latch, full-wave drive of triacs, a built-in zero-cross voltage detector, an open collector Darlington output, an output enable pin, a test input for load breakdown detection and an open collector output (NXOR) that signals a load breakdown [1].

The catalog gives a supply voltage of 5…40 V, a typical supply current of 4 mA, a typical output current (ON state) of 200 mA and an output voltage (OFF state) of at most 44 V [1]. Pins (MP-117, top view): 1 OE input, 2 NXOR 1 output, 3 VLOAD 1 input, 4 SYNC 1 output, 5 DATA 1 input, 6 protection 1 input, 7 output 1, 8 GND, 9 strobe, 10 output 2, 11 protection 2 input, 12 DATA 2 input, 13 SYNC 2 output, 14 VLOAD 2 input, 15 NXOR 2 output, 16 V+ [1]. The block diagram with the function table and two application circuits are in the Gallery [1].
