Description
The DST-02 is a dangerous voltage alarm device for trolley-buses designed for negative-to-ground electrical networks, made by IPRS Băneasa [1].
The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) says that it monitors the body voltage against ground and signals when the preset value is exceeded, for passenger safety [1]. The system has two parts, the DST-02 M electronic block and the DST-02 S high voltage sensor; it is also suited to signalling the lower limit of the insulation resistance in equipment supplied with a negative-to-ground D.C. voltage [1].
The catalog gives a supply voltage of 24 Vdc (±20 %), dangerous voltage signalling through normal-open, 50 W type relay contacts, and sensitivity levels of 40 V (±10 %) (I) and 100 V (±10 %) (II); the dimensions are 233 × 178 × 72 mm for the DST-02 M and 116 × 114 × 85 mm for the sensor, printed „DST-01 S” in that line [1].
