Description
The fixing temperature chamber is a chamber for drying, reliability tests, storage, polymerisation and other processes requiring temperature conditions, made by IPRS Băneasa [1].
The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) describes the chamber body as made of plate outside and stainless steel inside, with an insulating layer of glass wadding between; the chamber has two doors with joints and locking systems, and its position can be fixed by its screwing supports [1]. The ventilation system, made of an electric motor (0.37 kW / 1450 rpm), a ball bearing and a ventilator fan, is in the lower inside part; the electronic temperature regulator keeps the temperature constant or timer controlled (0–6 hrs.), and an electronic safety system can be added as an option to lock the doors if the temperature inside exceeds the prescribed value [1].
The catalog gives dimensions of 1300 × 1340 × 2000 mm, a weight of 890 kg, an input power of 11 kW, an operating temperature of 0…200 °C, an accuracy of 1.5 % of the full range, a ventilator air flow of (2 ×) 1890 m³/hrs and a dynamic air pressure of (2 ×) 10 mm H2O [1]. Its drawing, with the chamber body, locker, door, electric panel, air valve control and motor protection numbered, is in the Gallery [1].
