Description
The hydrogen belt furnace is a furnace for brazing, curing or annealing operations in a controlled atmosphere, made by IPRS Băneasa [1].
The I.P.R.S. Băneasa Full Line Condensed Catalog (1990) says that the furnace consists of 4 units or more, their number depending on the requirements of the technological process; it includes the belt, the temperature regulators and all the facilities for hydrogen and nitrogen, and a belt of refractory steel wire conveys the items through a stainless steel tube where the required treatment is applied [1].
The catalog gives dimensions of at most 7100 × 1300 × 750 mm, a weight of at most 3500 kg, a power supply of 380 V / 50 Hz, an input power of 22.5 kW, adjustable hydrogen and nitrogen supplies of 0…90 l/min each, a maximum temperature of 700 °C, a belt speed of 10…12 cm/min, a passage way of 140 × 110 mm, a belt width of 120 mm and a maximum loading of 8 kg per linear meter [1]. Its drawing, with the burning hydrogen pipe, furnace body, passage tube, drive belt, belt drive gear, side cover, furnace frame and belt stretch system numbered, is in the Gallery [1].
