Description
The Ioana is an electronic telephone made by Electromagnetica in Bucharest [1].
The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) lists the „IOANA” telephone among the electronic telephones made by Electromagnetica (Întreprinderea Electromagnetica, Bucharest), in three versions: RS-74883 AAE, with a dial and a two-tone electronic bell; RS-74883 RAA, with a keypad and an electromechanical bell; and RS-74883 RAE, with a keypad and a two-tone electronic bell; notes say that all the electronic telephones are compatible with all types of telephone exchanges in Romania and that all the push-button telephones store the number dialled, so that a call can be repeated with a single key (for example when the line called is busy) [1]. It gives a 48 V ± 4 V supply (through a 2 × 250 Ω bridge) and a ringing voltage of 70 V/25 Hz, a bell level of at least 70 dB at 0.5 m, a time of 1 s ± 10 % (dial) or 1 s ± 5 % (keypad) for dialling the digit „0”, 10.4 × 12.8 × 25 cm (height × width × depth) and 950 g [1].
