Description
The Miniturn is a stereo music system in three separate cases (power amplifier, radio receiver and cassette deck), made by Electronica in Bucharest [1].
The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) lists the „MINITURN” („Combină muzicală”, music centre, made by Întreprinderea Electronica, Bucharest) among the mono and stereo (hi-fi) audio equipment made in Romania [1]. It says that it consists of three separate cases – a stereo power amplifier, a stereo radio receiver and a stereo cassette deck – and gives a maximum output of 2 × 20 W, an amplifier band of 40 Hz…20 kHz, the wavebands LW (150–260 kHz), MW (525–1606 kHz, as printed), SW (5.9–12 MHz) and FM (65–73 MHz), a sensitivity of 150 µV (LW), 100 µV (MW), 10 µV (SW) and 5 µV (FM), a cassette playback band of 60–12,000 Hz (CrO₂ tape), at most 3 % harmonic distortion, a 220 V, 50 Hz supply, a maximum consumption printed as 10 VA, and sizes of 9.5 × 28 × 25 cm (amplifier), 6 × 28 × 26.5 cm (receiver) and 12.5 × 28 × 26.5 cm (cassette deck) (height × width × depth) [1].
