Description

The F-1001 is an alerting system for the army and the national emergency inspectorate, made by Electromagnetica in Bucharest [1]. It was developed after 1990 by the Special Production Factory and ICSITA from the experience of the F-1000, with new materials and technologies [1].

It was the modernised F-1000, with large-scale integrated circuits, microprocessors and the editing, display and printing of all messages, which allowed many more typed messages and simpler operation; after its zero series it was accepted in 1990 by the Warsaw Pact armies [2]. It also equipped the units of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations [3].
