Description
The ROR30 is a transient overvoltage limiter (double controlled-avalanche diode) made in Romania by ICCE (I.C.C.E. București), listed in the Agenda radioelectronistului (1st edition, 1983) among the other semiconductor diodes of I.C.C.E., in an MP-2 package [1]. The package drawing is in the Gallery.
The code is printed „ROR 30 (L-5…L-16)”, without saying what L-5…L-16 means; the description is „Dispozitiv limitator de supratensiuni tranzitorii (diodă dublă cu avalanșă controlată)” (transient overvoltage limiter, a double controlled-avalanche diode), and the package drawing (MP-2) marks the terminals T1 and T2 [1].
It appears only in the 1st edition of the Agenda [1]; the 2nd edition (1989) no longer lists it among the semiconductor diodes [2].
Coded as (Romanian system, internal CCSIT-CE code) [3]:
| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
| RO | manufacturer’s code: RO (Romania) |
| R | rectifier diode |
| 30 | identification number |
