Description

The MMC40160 is a CMOS logic integrated circuit of the 4000 series, a programmable synchronous 4-bit counter, listed in the Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) among the logic integrated circuits made in Romania by Microelectronica [1]. Its codes (MMC40160, MMC40161, MMC40162 and MMC40163) are in the Variants table; the pinout is in the Gallery.

The panel is headed „MMC 40160”, „MMC 40161”, „MMC 40162” and „MMC 40163”, with the differences: 40160 decade, with asynchronous CLEAR; 40161 binary, with asynchronous CLEAR; 40162 decade, with synchronous CLEAR; 40163 binary, with synchronous CLEAR [1].

Coded as (code of Întreprinderea Microelectronica for logic integrated circuits) [2]:

Part Meaning
M characteristic prefix of Întreprinderea Microelectronica
MC technology: CMOS (MC = CMOS, MN = NMOS, MP = PMOS)
4 circuit series: 4 = series 4XXX(X) (CMOS)
0160, 0161, 0162, 0163 circuit type (serial number of 3–4 digits)
–E, –F, –G, –H DIL package and operating temperature range (series 4XXX(X)): E = plastic (−40…+85 °C), F = ceramic „frit seal” (−40…+85 °C), G = multilayer ceramic (−55…+125 °C), H = ceramic „frit seal” (−55…+125 °C); the letter is not printed in the panels
