Description
The BGF 6000 (fixed) and BGR 6000 (adjustable) are glazed wire-wound power resistors on a tube with solder lugs, for power electrical installations; the BGF 6000-NI is the non-inductive fixed version [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) prints nine sizes for both series („BGF(R)6016” to „BGF(R)6250”), from 16 to 250 W, 1 Ω to 200 kΩ and limit voltages of 450–2500 V, and a second table for the non-inductive resistors, BGF6016-NI to BGF6250-NI, with narrower resistance ranges [1].
The Agenda radioelectronistului names IPEE Electro-Argeș of Curtea de Argeș as the producer of all the resistors in its section on resistors made in Romania, in both editions [3][4]. Un secol de electronică în România says that the works, founded in 1972 as ICEP, took over the resistor lines that IPRS Băneasa made under a Thomson-CSF licence: the carbon resistors in 1973 and the wire-wound resistors in 1974 [5].
Coded as [3]:
| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
| BGF | construction type: fixed glazed wire-wound resistor („rezistor bobinat glazurat, fix”) |
| BGR | construction type: adjustable glazed wire-wound resistor |
| 6 | package type („tipul capsulei”, 1…6) |
| 016…250 | rated power: 16…250 W |
| NI | non-inductive version („Ni = execuție neinductivă”; „BGF-NI – rezistoare neinductive”) |
Romanian resistors are generally marked in clear, with the series code, the nominal value (100 = 100 Ω, 1 K = 1 kΩ, 1 M = 1 MΩ), the tolerance and the rated power [3].
The 1st edition (1983) calls the series BGF and BGR, has no non-inductive table and gives other dimensions: tighter tolerances on the length and on the bore d, smaller maximum diameters (12–30.5 mm), a length of 152 mm for 6075, and a limit voltage of 2000 V for 6200 and „22500” for 6250 [2]. The 2nd edition heads the two last dimension columns „1 ± 0,1” twice; in the 1st edition and in the drawing they are l and g [1][2].
Dimensions in mm (fig. 16.17): length L, maximum diameter Dmax and bore d from the table (the tolerances are in the notes); l and g are the dimensions of the lugs [1].
