Description

The HVR 3050 is a high-voltage resistor with radial leads, from 1 to 100 MΩ in the E12 and E24 series, with a limit voltage of 4 kV, for professional electronic circuits [1].

The Agenda radioelectronistului names IPEE Electro-Argeș of Curtea de Argeș as the producer of all the resistors in its section on resistors made in Romania, in both editions [3][4]. Un secol de electronică în România says that the works, founded in 1972 as ICEP, took over the resistor lines that IPRS Băneasa made under a Thomson-CSF licence: the carbon resistors in 1973 and the wire-wound resistors in 1974 [5].

Coded as [3]:

Part Meaning
HVR construction type: high-voltage resistor („rezistor pentru înaltă tensiune”)
3 package type („tipul capsulei”, 1…6)
050 rated power: 0.5 W

Romanian resistors are generally marked in clear, with the series code, the nominal value (100 = 100 Ω, 1 K = 1 kΩ, 1 M = 1 MΩ), the tolerance and, for the HVR series, the limit voltage in kV [3].

The 1st edition (1983) calls the series HVR, gives the same data and prints the value series as „E12 și E21” [2]. The 2nd edition prints the maximum lead length as „max = 30 mm”, without the letter l (1st edition: lmax = 30 mm) [1][2].

Dimensions in mm (fig. 16.5): Lmax = 30, Dmax = 12.5, maximum lead length lmax = 30, maximum lead spacing dmax = 27.9, leads Ø 0.64 [1][2].
