Description
The RGM 7000 is a series of high-power wire-wound resistor sets, made to NTR-E 1377-80: three or four identical 200 W resistors connected in parallel on a frame, from 1 to 680 Ω, rated 600, 800 and 1000 W at 70 °C, for power electrical and electronic equipment [1]. The maximum voltage is 2500 V rms and the maximum surface temperature 350 °C [1].
The Agenda radioelectronistului names IPEE Electro-Argeș of Curtea de Argeș as the producer of all the resistors in its section on resistors made in Romania [2]. Un secol de electronică în România says that the works, founded in 1972 as ICEP, took over the resistor lines that IPRS Băneasa made under a Thomson-CSF licence: the carbon resistors in 1973 and the wire-wound resistors in 1974 [4].
The letters RGM are not in the book’s code list [2]. In the 2nd edition the three codes are partly smudged (read as RGM 7060, 7080 and 7100), and the 1000 W set is given the same structure as the 800 W one, „4 × 200 W” [1]. The series is not in the 1st edition (1983) [3].
Rated power: total, at 70 °C; maximum voltage in V rms. Dimensions in mm (fig. 16.22): overall length L from the table, distance A between the fixing slots in the notes (250; smudged for RGM 7100), height 130 [1].
