Description
The TG-121 is a series of general-use NTC thermistors in the form of lacquered discs („lăcuite”), made to STAS 9486-78 [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) gives four types, from 150 to 680 Ω at 25 °C, with a resistance tolerance of ±20 %, a maximum dissipated power of 0.6 W, a dissipation factor of 8…14 mW/°C, a thermal time constant of 60 s and climatic category 10/085/04; three are marked in clear with the value („150M”) and the TG121-680 with a violet dot [1]. The resistance ratio is 6.5 ± 20 % for all four; the 2nd edition heads it R25/R65 (the subscript is blurred in the 1st edition) [1][2].
The Agenda radioelectronistului names IPEE Electro-Argeș of Curtea de Argeș as the producer of the thermistors in its section on thermistors made in Romania, in both editions [3][4]. Un secol de electronică în România says that IPEE Curtea de Argeș was set up in 1973 by moving the lines of „chemical” resistors („rezistențe chimice”), ceramic capacitors and thermistors from IPRS Băneasa, and that the works’ resistor catalogue (in English) covered 16 families of resistors, among them varistors and thermistors [5].
The drawing (fig. 18.4) gives leads of Ø 0.6 mm, at least 45 mm long [1]. The 1st edition (1983) gives a disc diameter D of 8 mm and a thickness bmax of 5 mm (2nd edition: 7 and 4 mm) and has only the first three types; the TG121-680 is in the 2nd edition only [2][1].
