Description

The DC38 is a diac listed in the Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) among the diacs made in Romania by IPRS Băneasa, in an F-126 package [1].

The table gives the breakover voltage VBO in two columns headed „maximum” (34 V) and „minimum” (42 V); it is entered here as the range 34…42 V. The footnotes say that all these diacs have a maximum peak current ITRM of 1.5 A and a maximum dissipated power PDM of 0.3 W, and that the negative resistance of the diac appears at IBO and disappears at currents of (2…5) A, as printed [1].

The DC38A version, in the next row of the table, differs only by the breakover current IBO (50 µA instead of 300 µA); both codes are in the Variants table [1].

VS at IS = 10 mA [1].
