CIFA-1

The CIFA-1 is a computer of the Institute of Atomic Physics (IFA) at Bucharest-Măgurele, the first digital computer in Romania; the MECIPT-1 of the Timișoara Polytechnic Institute (1961) was the second [1]. IFA’s team built the CIFA series of computers and later joined the computer institute ITC when it was set up in 1967–1968 [1].
