History

Electrotehnica (Întreprinderea „Electrotehnica”) was a Bucharest enterprise of the electrotechnical industry. In 1989 it belonged to the Industrial Central for Automation Equipment (CIEA) of the Ministry of the Electrotechnical Industry, at 42 Lujerului Street [1].

In 1956 it took over from Radio Popular (later Electronica) the production of VARCO power capacitors and industrial electronics [2], and also its electromedical equipment, such as electric scalpels, dental diathermy, X-ray and ultrasound equipment [2].
