Description
The TX 8 is a terminal built around the 8080 microprocessor, assimilated at ICRET in 1985 for collecting and processing status data from telecommunications systems [1]. Its applications were Robot (diagnosing faulty units in automatic exchanges from selection incidents and false calls), Superviziune (detecting gross malfunctions) and Tradis (supervising an exchange’s junctions and showing blocked or abnormally seized ones); by 1987 about 145 had been delivered, and a zonal coordination centre was set up at Brașov [1].
