Description

The TV camera 400482 is a compact television camera for closed-circuit TV systems, made by Tehnoton in Iași [1].

The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) describes the „Camera compactă de luat vederi (cod 400482…)” among the closed-circuit television elements made by Tehnoton in Iași; the code is printed with an ellipsis [1]. It captures pictures and turns them into a composite video signal, or into a radio-frequency carrier amplitude-modulated by it („purtătoare de IF”, where IF stands for „înaltă frecvență”, high frequency), for closed-circuit TV systems and teaching studios [1]. The values are in the specifications; the automatic controls are given as the effectiveness („eficacitatea”) of the gain, sensitivity and iris controls [1].

Its TV standard is printed „625 linii/30 semicadre (OIRT/CCIR)” (625 lines, 30 fields) in both editions, while the monitor of the same chapter, the TV monitor 400 513.00, gives 625 lines and 50 fields [1][2].

The accessories are an RF modulator („modulatorul de IF”) giving an amplitude-modulated VHF carrier („FIF”) on channel 1 of the OIRT standard (49.75 MHz), so that an ordinary television set can replace the monitor; fixed-focus lenses with manual iris and focus (Xenon 1.4/25, Xenon 2/50, Telexenar 2.8/100) and a Variogon 2/18…90 mm zoom lens with remote control of iris, focal length and focus; a weatherproof protective housing for −30…+40 °C; a remote-control relay for working with the control desk; the control desk (30032500), for the zoom lens and/or the pan-and-tilt platform (power on/off, horizontal and vertical movement, remote control of iris, focal length and focus); the pan-and-tilt platform (00060000), turning the camera by up to 340° horizontally and tilting it by up to 85° vertically by remote control; and a manual or automatic video distributor (switcher) connecting 1…5 cameras to 1…5 monitors [1].

The Xenon 1.4/25 is printed „Xenon 1,4/25’” [1]. The 1st edition of the Agenda (1983) gives the same description [2].
