Description

The DBP-01 is a portable electromagnetic detector for checking postal mail, from the Centre for Technical Physics in Iași [1]. It detects small metal parts, such as wires or needles, that could belong to the firing circuit or striker mechanism of a letter bomb; it was researched, patented and approved, and in 1995 it won a silver medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions (PALEXPO) [1].
