Description

The ATR-1 is ground recognition (identification friend-or-foe) equipment for the START-1 radar, developed at the army research institute ICSITA and put into manufacturing preparation at IEI in 1986; series production dates from 1991 [1]. Its airborne counterpart was the SRR-1 responder made by AEROSTAR, approved together with the START-1 [1].
