Description
The SAO-1 is a simulator for training radar operators, built at Baza radar Pipera at the beginning of the 1970s; the book’s photograph is dated 1973 [1]. The simulated air situation included own and enemy aircraft, passive and active jamming, and recognition and response signals, recorded on punched tape read by an LBC 1000 capacitive reader made by FEPER [1]. The SAO-1 and SAEL simulators were produced for almost all radio-technical subunits in the country [1].
