R1230

The R1230 is a VHF FM radio station for tanks and armoured personnel carriers, made under a Yugoslav licence, made by IEMI in Bucharest [1]. It was IEMI’s first radio product; production began with imported CKD and SKD kits and was then largely localised; at the time it was said to derive from an American licence [1]. A solid and reliable station, it gave links of about 20 km, mainly in FM, and was replaced by the R1231 [1].
