Description
The R1305 is a military mobile short-wave SSB radio station of 100 W, made in the microproduction workshop of the ICE research institute in Bucharest, where it was designed [1]. It was developed under a contract with IEMI; work stopped in 1990 at the prototype stage [1]. Begun in 1985, it was to include a unit that monitored and evaluated the working channels and switched automatically to the best one; only the laboratory model was built before the army lost interest in 1990 [2].
ICE’s short-wave professional radio communications laboratory took over in 1966 the staff and work of Electronica in this field; it designed radio stations, first-class receivers and accessories such as antennas and relays, mainly for the army, with civilian versions for the oil and forestry industries, building sites and agriculture; they were made at IEMI and IEI [1].
