Description

The COV 10.00 is a series of type I tubular ceramic capacitors with radial leads, rated 500 V DC, for radio-frequency circuits [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) lists three codes, COV 10.05 to COV 10.07, with 1–2.2 pF (series E12/24); the temperature coefficient is marked in orange [1]. The series is not in the 1st edition (1983) [3], and the letters COV are not in the code list [2].

The Agenda does not say which works made the series: for the whole section on capacitors made in Romania it lists IPEE Electroargeș of Curtea de Argeș, Tehnoton of Iași, IIS Electronica of Bucharest and IPRS Băneasa as producers, and the 1st edition (1983) names only the first three [2][3]. It is listed here as made by IPRS Băneasa; Un secol de electronică în România says that the ceramic capacitor line of IPRS passed to IPEE Curtea de Argeș in 1973 [4].

The table prints the codes without a dot („COV 1007”), from the largest to the smallest, and the climatic category as „40/85/21” [1].

Rated voltages are DC („Vcc”). Dimensions in mm (fig. 20.61): diameter D (Dmax in the drawing), length L ± 1 and lead spacing d ± 1 from the table; leads Ø 0.5, at least 35 mm long [1].
