Description

The CZ 30.00 is a series of type II multilayer ceramic „chip” capacitors – a parallelepiped block with two soldering bands to which leads can be attached [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) lists five package codes, CZ 30.02 to CZ 30.06, from 100 pF to 1000 nF, at 50, 100 and 200 V DC; it gives no application [1]. The table gives for each package code the smallest capacitance (in pF) and the largest (in nF) at 50, 100 and 200 V; the page lists one row per code and voltage [1].

The Agenda does not say which works made the series: for the whole section on capacitors made in Romania it lists IPEE Electroargeș of Curtea de Argeș, Tehnoton of Iași, IIS Electronica of Bucharest and IPRS Băneasa as producers, and the 1st edition (1983) names only the first three [3][4]. It is listed here as made by IPRS Băneasa; Un secol de electronică în România says that the ceramic capacitor line of IPRS passed to IPEE Curtea de Argeș in 1973 [5].

Coded as [3]:

Part Meaning
CZ multilayer „chip” capacitor, type II
30 technological family („familia tehnologică”)
02…06 package code („codul capsulei”)

The 1st edition (1983) has the same characteristics but other values in the table (largest capacitances in µF), a smaller code, CZ 30.01, and other widths for CZ 30.03, 30.05 and 30.06 [2].

Rated voltages are DC („Vcc”). Dimensions in mm (fig. 20.58): length L ± 0.5, width l ± 0.5 and maximum height Hmax from the table; the soldering bands are B = 0.51 (CZ 30.02) or 0.76 mm (± 0.25) long [1].
