Description

The PCM 06.00 is a series of metallised polycarbonate capacitors, rated 250 V DC, in a rectangular case with two radial leads, made to STAS 9085-71 for professional circuits, where the capacitance and the dissipation factor vary little with temperature [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) lists three package codes, PCM 06.01 to PCM 06.03, with 0.01–1 µF [1].

The Agenda does not say which works made the series: for the whole section on capacitors made in Romania it lists IPEE Electroargeș of Curtea de Argeș, Tehnoton of Iași, IIS Electronica of Bucharest and IPRS Băneasa as producers, and the 1st edition (1983) names only the first three [3][4]. It is listed here as made by IPRS Băneasa.

Coded as [3]:

Part Meaning
PCM construction type (structure, dielectric, terminals): capacitor with metallised polycarbonate dielectric
06 technological family („familia tehnologică”)
01…03 package code („codul capsulei”)

The dissipation factor is printed „≤ 0,7·10⁻⁴” in the 2nd edition and „≤ 0,7.10⁻²” in the 1st [1][2]. Both editions head the capacitance column „Cn [pF]”, although its values (0.01 … 1.00) are in µF [1][2].

Rated voltages are DC („Vcc”). Dimensions in mm (fig. 20.31): length A, width B, height H and lead spacing R, each ± 0.5; leads Ø 0.8, at least 30 mm long [1].
