Description

The PMP 09.00 is a series of metallised polyester capacitors in a rectangular case with rounded corners and two radial leads 10 mm apart, made to STAS 9085-71 for general use [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) lists three package codes, PMP 09.01 to PMP 09.03, with 0.01–0.33 µF at 100–500 V [1].

The Agenda does not say which works made the series: for the whole section on capacitors made in Romania it lists IPEE Electroargeș of Curtea de Argeș, Tehnoton of Iași, IIS Electronica of Bucharest and IPRS Băneasa as producers, and the 1st edition (1983) names only the first three [3][4]. It is listed here as made by IPRS Băneasa; Un secol de electronică în România says that the metallised polyester capacitor line of IPRS passed to IPEE Curtea de Argeș in 1982 [5].

Coded as [3]:

Part Meaning
PMP construction type (structure, dielectric, terminals): metallised polyester capacitor
09 technological family („familia tehnologică”)
01…03 package code („codul capsulei”)

The capacitors are marked in clear; the book’s example is a capacitor of this series, „PMP 09.02 — 0,047/400”: the code, the nominal capacitance in µF and the rated voltage in V [3].

The 2nd edition prints the first code as „MPP 09.01” (1st edition: PMP 09.01) and refers to the drawing as „fig. 2.5.20” (the drawing is captioned Fig. 20.20) [1][2]. For PMP 09.01 at 250 V the 1st edition prints „0,1…0,047” µF and for PMP 09.02 at 100 V 0.18…0.22 µF [2].

Rated voltages are DC („Vcc”). Dimensions in mm (fig. 20.20): length L, height H and thickness T, each ± 0.5; leads Ø 0.8, 10 mm apart, at least 38 mm long [1].
