Description

The IDX-09 is a field-displacement microwave isolator, for the one-way propagation of radio-frequency energy, made in the microproduction workshop of the ICE research institute in Bucharest, where it was designed [1].

ICE’s microwave laboratory (1979–1990) began with a METEOSAT weather-satellite ground station exported to North Korea, and developed microwave components made in ICE’s microproduction workshop [1].

Its prospectus describes a low-power field-displacement isolator for decoupling oscillators and suppressing reflections, letting microwave energy pass in one direction only [2].
