Description
The T 59-11A is a black-and-white television picture tube with a 56.6 cm diagonal, made at the Fabrica de Cinescoape in Bucharest [1]. Television sets with this tube include the Adriatic, Clasic E 59-722, Clasic S E 59-701, Clasic S E 59-720 E, Diana E 59-720, Diana HM 1 E 59-740, Electra E 59-721, Electra H2 E 59-751, Opera E 59-711, Opera E 59-722, Opera H2, Opera HS E 59-741, Saturn E 59-710 and Saturn H2 E 59-750.
The T 65-11A, T 59-11A and T 47-11A were the black-and-white picture tubes made at the factory in 1971–1975, under the initial licence: glass made under a Corning (USA) licence, electron gun and tube assembly under a licence from Standard Elektrik Lorenz (SEL, West Germany) [1]. Their bulb is made of very fine glass and is protected against implosion; the screen has a spherical front, is aluminised and has a white phosphor [1]. The electron gun is a tetrode with unipotential lenses, with electrostatic focusing and magnetic deflection; a metal band with four fixing lugs holds the tube in the cabinet [1].
