Description

The P carbon-film trimmer potentiometers („potențiometre ajustabile”, „rezistențe semireglabile”) are the carbon-film presets listed in the Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989), made to STAS 9614/2-74 for general use, especially in radio and TV receivers [1]. Its characteristics list nominal values from 100 Ω to 10 MΩ; the table gives 13 types with ranges up to 5 MΩ, rated 0.05 to 0.5 W, most of them linear, P-35578 and P-35580 also logarithmic [1].

The Agenda radioelectronistului names IPEE Electro-Argeș of Curtea de Argeș and IIS Electronica of Bucharest as the producers of the potentiometers in its section on potentiometers made in Romania, in both editions, without saying which works made which type; they are listed here under Electronica [3][4]. Electronica românească. O istorie trăită, vol. I, says that Electronica imported in 1969 a production line for film potentiometers from Siemens (West Germany), and that it made single potentiometers with or without a mains switch, tandem and push-button potentiometers, defined by its internal norm NID 2195-67 [5].

The book does not explain the codes [1]. The letters after a code are versions (for P-32481, A in fig. f and C, D, E in fig. g) [1].

Printed so in both editions: P-32385 and P-36065 both point to fig. 17.3 e, the logarithmic ranges of P-35578 and P-35580 are given as „100…1” without units, and P-35580 has a limit voltage of 100 V linear and 600 V logarithmic [1][2]. The 1st edition (1983) prints the first code as P-32825 (2nd edition: „Z-32825”) [2][1].

Resistance in the E6 series (units of the table: lin Ω…MΩ). Dimensions in mm: see the drawings (fig. 17.3 a…l) [1].
