Description

The P slide potentiometers („potențiometre rectilinii”) are slide potentiometers made to STAS 9614/2-74 for radio and TV receivers, single and tandem, with useful travels of 23 to 58 mm, linear (100 Ω to 5 MΩ) and logarithmic (1 kΩ to 1 MΩ), rated 0.25 W linear and 0.125 W logarithmic [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) lists 13 codes, P-22254 to P-35029 [1].

The Agenda radioelectronistului names IPEE Electro-Argeș of Curtea de Argeș and IIS Electronica of Bucharest as the producers of the potentiometers in its section on potentiometers made in Romania, in both editions, without saying which works made which type; they are listed here under Electronica [3][4]. Electronica românească. O istorie trăită, vol. I, says that Electronica imported in 1969 a production line for film potentiometers from Siemens (West Germany), and that it made single potentiometers with or without a mains switch, tandem and push-button potentiometers, defined by its internal norm NID 2195-67 [5].

The book does not explain the codes [1]. In four rows of the table two codes are printed together, one on the line of the linear range and one on the line of the logarithmic range; the page gives both codes the values of the row [1].

The 1st edition (1983) has the same table; the code P-35030, which in the 2nd edition looks like „P-35080”, is read from it [2][1].

Resistance in the E6 series. Rated power and limit voltage: linear / logarithmic law. Dimensions in mm: see the drawings (fig. 17.5 a…l); on the last page of drawings only the letter l is printed, so the two drawings before it are j and k by their order, and the second of them (a tandem) has a 0…40 mm scale although the table gives fig. k a travel of 58 mm [1].
