Description

The TG 621 is a series of general-use NTC thermistors in the form of encapsulated discs („încapsulate”), made to STAS 9486-78 for circuits that need insulation and/or good thermal contact [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) gives five types, from 150 Ω to 1 kΩ at 25 °C, with a resistance tolerance of ±20 %, a maximum dissipated power of 0.6 W, a dissipation factor of 8…14 mW/°C, a thermal time constant of 220 s and climatic category 10/085/04; four are marked in clear with the value („150 M”) and the TG621-680 with a violet dot [1]. The resistance ratio R25/R85 is 6.7 ± 20 % for all five (the subscript is blurred in both editions) [1][2].

The Agenda radioelectronistului names IPEE Electro-Argeș of Curtea de Argeș as the producer of the thermistors in its section on thermistors made in Romania, in both editions [3][4]. Un secol de electronică în România says that IPEE Curtea de Argeș was set up in 1973 by moving the lines of „chemical” resistors („rezistențe chimice”), ceramic capacitors and thermistors from IPRS Băneasa, and that the works’ resistor catalogue (in English) covered 16 families of resistors, among them varistors and thermistors [5].

The drawing (fig. 18.6) has the same dimensions as that of the TG 6000: a hexagonal body (12 mm) with an M4 thread and leads of Ø 0.6 mm, at least 35 mm long [1]. The R25 of the TG621-150 is smudged in the 2nd edition; 150 Ω is taken from the 1st edition, which has only the first three types (the TG621-680 and TG621-1k are in the 2nd edition only) [1][2].
