Description

The SDC-2050 is the first Romanian distributed system for automatic process control, based on process microcomputers, developed by the automation institute IPA and put into production at Automatica in 1981–1985 [1]. It was commissioned at the Bucharest picture tube factory, the Râmnicu Vâlcea petrochemical combine and the Drobeta-Turnu Severin chemical combine [1]. IPA’s later distributed control system was the DISTRIPROM [1].
