History

Defense Engineering (SC Defense Engineering SA) in Bucharest is a Romanian-owned company of the UTI group, founded in 2007 [1]. As a local integrator it has carried out national defence and NATO projects, some in partnership with Lockheed Martin, Leonardo, Ultra Electronics TCS, Elbit, Opgal or the Romanian CN ROMARM; its services include configuring, assembling, integrating and maintaining radar systems and developing and integrating C4ISR systems [1]. Its radar work comprises the TPS-79(R) Gap Filler radar, with Lockheed Martin (2009–2012), and the MR 3DR radar, with Belgian Advanced Technology Systems (2014–2017) [1].
