History

Terraflux Control is a private company in Iași, belonging to a researcher of the Centre for Technical Physics in Iași who held the patent for the Multiflux fluxgate sensor [1]. When the centre gave up microproduction in 1989, the company took over the manufacture of the magnetometers and metal detectors that were still being ordered [1].

It redesigned the electronics and mechanics of the centre’s gaussmeters for the quality-control laboratories of the CFR railways, as the DFG-20A and DFG-20B digital fluxgate gaussmeters, used by Romvag Caracal and the Reva Simeria wagon repair works, with IDP 300 panel meters from ICE as displays [1]. It also took over the triaxial magnetometers for the degaussing of ships and the multichannel magnetometers for military vehicles [1].
