Description

The Sinaia S 693 T was the first Romanian car radio, for long and medium waves, put into production by Electronica in 1969 [1]. Its circuit gave performance equivalent to similar foreign sets, and it used for the first time a variometer made in Romania, which replaces the variable capacitor in car radios [1]. The signal comes from an antenna mounted on the car body [1]. The export version was the Fleet [1]. Its successor was the Predeal [1].

In the source table, sensitivity is given on medium waves for 50 mW output and a 20 dB signal-to-noise ratio, selectivity for a signal ±9 kHz (AM) or ±300 kHz (FM) away, and output power at no more than 10% distortion [1].
