Description
The Alfa 1 S 711 T is a pocket transistor radio for medium and short waves, made by Electronica in Bucharest from 1972 [1]. The Alfa 2 has the same circuit and characteristics, with a differently decorated case [1]. A companion two-band pocket set, for long and medium waves, was the Pescăruș [1].
Tehnoton in Iași also made it in 1975 [2]. It was exported to Peru in 1975 [2].
In the source table, sensitivity is given on medium waves for 50 mW output and a 20 dB signal-to-noise ratio, selectivity for a signal ±9 kHz (AM) or ±300 kHz (FM) away, and output power at no more than 10% distortion [1].
