Description

The Neptun 1 S 701 T is a portable AM-FM transistor radio made by Electronica in Bucharest from 1970 [1]. The Neptun family was designed from 1969 by Teodor Bădărău, with a circuit superior to that of the Mamaia, completely integrated (all parts made in Romania) and equipped with silicon planar transistors made at IPRS Băneasa [1]. It had a number of miniaturised parts, such as the FM IF filter, and a cabinet assembled from three injection-moulded parts [1].

The Neptun 2, the Neptun CCIR and the export model Concord have similar circuits [1].

In the source table, sensitivity is given on medium waves for 50 mW output and a 20 dB signal-to-noise ratio, selectivity for a signal ±9 kHz (AM) or ±300 kHz (FM) away, and output power at no more than 10% distortion [1].
