Description
The Rapsodia S 612 A is a mains-powered tube radio receiver designed and made by Electronica in Bucharest in the first half of the 1960s [1]. It has the same circuit as the Opera S 611 A, with a built-in Supraphon or GE 56 record player whose motor is fed from the 220 V winding of the mains transformer [1]. The text also lists a Rapsodia among the radiograms (music cabinets) of the period [1].
In the source table, sensitivity is given on medium waves for 0.5 W output, selectivity for a signal ±9 kHz (AM) or ±300 kHz (FM) away, the audio frequency response at 1 MHz within 6 dB, and output power at no more than 10% distortion; the quality classes are only indicative, based on IEC recommendations and the Soviet GOST 5651/1951, as Romania had no such standard at the time [1].
