Description
The F-3030 is a military telephone multiplex system with three carrier channels, for short two-wire lines, made by Electromagnetica in Bucharest [1]. It was among the first telephone multiplex systems designed by ICSITA and made by Electromagnetica’s Special Production Factory, from the late 1970s [1]. The modernised generation, with modular mechanics standardised by ICSITA, comprised the F-3091 and F-3031 [1].
It was meant for multiplexing heavy field cables or low-capacity radio relay stations; each telephone channel could be multiplexed again with tone telegraphy or medium-speed modems [2]. It was later redesigned as the F-3031 [3].
