Description

The Sport 213 is a portable black-and-white television set with a single integrated circuit, made by Electronica in Bucharest from the mid-1980s [1]. The circuit was the Philips “Jungle” TDA4503 (the text also writes TDA4305), which greatly simplified the small-signal stages; the audio, horizontal and vertical power stages were as in the Sport IC sets, with IPRS transistors [1]. An imported surface-acoustic-wave filter replaced the coil filter in the IF path, which greatly simplified adjustment; the solution was extended to other sets [1]. It was designed by Radu Pițigoi with Alex. Costescu, Cristina Costescu and Eugen Ștefan [1].
