Description
The E0708 is an electronic transistor meter, made by IEMI in Bucharest [1]. IEMI’s production table lists 3,342 units made in 1977–1985 [1].
Its list price, set in 1982, was 9,000 lei [2].
Annex III.2.10 describes it as an instrument for checking low- and medium-power PNP and NPN bipolar transistors, diodes and Zener diodes, used in research and factory laboratories and in production; it worked at collector voltages of 0.1–30 V and currents of 1–100 mA, measured leakage currents from 1 nA to 100 µA and Zener diodes of 3–15 V [3].
